Fees: We have introduced a monthly Merchant Service Fee for inactivity. There will be no other changes to the fees associated with your Skrill (Moneybookers) Merchant Account.
I have not used my Moneybookers (Skrill) account since April 2012 but I kept it in case, if a client would not be able to pay otherwise. I did not need to rely on it at all, other payment methods worked (like Paypal).
It's EUR 19.95 for merchant accounts and EUR 1 for personal accounts
9.2 […] the Merchant will be charged a monthly inactivity fee of 19.95 EUR (or equivalent), if no funds have been uploaded, withdrawn, sent or received through the Merchant Account(s) within the last six (6) months. This shall however not apply to the extent that the Merchant is subject to the gateway usage fee as set-out on the merchant fees page.
"Inactive" are those accounts which do not have any attempt for a transaction for the last 6 months: send money, receive money, upload, withdraw; Processing via Skrill will automatically waive this fee from your account.
Now, with this new "service fee" - which by the way is not explained anywhere in their terms and conditions page or fees page. There is no point for me to keep the account.
Bye bye Moneybookers (Skrill)
